Adam Guthrie – Bio

Adam Guthrie is a qualified chef and has been vegetarian since 1991. He has appeared on ABC Radio, written articles for the Natural Health and Vegetarian Life Magazine, conducted vegetarian cooking classes and demonstrations for Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama Councils as part of their sustainable living projects. Adam has taught thousands of people through his online cooking classes and live cooking demonstrations how easy it is to cook quick, easy and healthy vegetarian meals that are child friendly and save you time and money in the kitchen.

Adam completed his apprenticeship in 1989 at the Baker and the Bunyip Restaurant, Berry. He followed this with a stint working in vegetarian restaurants in the UK. In 1994 he opened Adam and Eve’s Garden of Eatin’ in Nowra which pioneered vegetarian food in the area. Later he opened, as head chef, Perfect Break Vegetarian Cafe for Natural Necessity Surf Shop in Gerringong, which that year, was listed in the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.

Adam now inspires people to make new choices about the food they eat. In his cooking demonstrations and on-line vegetarian cooking classes, Adam shares with you why healthy food matters. He educates you on how easy it is to add more fruit and vegetables to your day and shows you how quick and easy it is to cook healthy, delicious vegetarian food made form fresh, locally grown and organic produce.

Adam lives in Berry NSW Australia with his lovely wife Roo and his two daughters Rose and Lily. They are all vegetarian.
